Bunny Sanctuary positions available

We need help at the Bunny Sanctuary in East Kelowna, to help with maintenance and care of the Croc Bunnies and pens!

Here are the opportunities available:

  1. Always needed: CLEANERS
    This the most needed position and we need help with this all the time. We usually clean Saturdays from 9am-1pm. It is physical work and is somewhat dirty. Any commitment would be great, like once a month minimum or something like that.
     
  2. Always needed: HEALTH CHECKS
    Anyone with knowledge of rabbits to help with health checks. As in a vet assistant that could help clip nails, etc. This takes about 4 hours at a time, for a couple of weekends every 3 months. But again all is flexible and if you would like to help with this, scheduling is open for discussion.
     
  3. Needed right now: HELP WITH BUILDING THE PENS
    This is also pretty physical. Volunteer would have to have a bit of knowledge with tools, like drills, hammers and be able to stand on ladders etc. Nothing too extensive, as we have someone supervising. The schedule and number of hours is flexible and can be discussed.
     
  4. Needed right now: HELP TO REFURBISH HUTCHES
    Volunteers need to know how to operate a skillsaw, jigsaw, and sander.
     
  5. Needed right now: HELP WITH WHEELBARROWING & SHOVELING/RAKING DIRT
    in the new pens. Again, this can be physical. Volunteers are needed the short term now (Late Summer, 2011) and probably again in the Spring 2012.
     
  6. Any Time: Fundraising
    Anyone wanting to help in any way

We are happy and grateful for any help we can get, so if needed, scheduling and frequency of shifts is open to discussion!
